Dan Curran (RME)

PRESIDENT, ARES CONSTRUCTION


Dan Curran is President of ARES Construction and directs Avalon’s construction activities.  He has over 33 years of experience working on major residential, commercial and infrastructure projects in Hawaii.  Prior to working for Avalon, Dan was project manager with CM&D.   Dan is a licensed contractor in the state of Hawaii and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Director, Project & Construction Management


Dan Curran is director of Project and Construction Management and is responsible for Avalon’s building projects from design through construction and completion. He is currently managing the construction projects at Kapolei Business Park, a 54-acre light industrial park with 24 lots for sale and 7000 Hawaii Kai Drive, a luxury rental apartment complex with 269 units.

Dan has extensive experience in the construction and engineering industry in Hawaii and other areas of the world. He has worked on some of the larger projects in Hawaii such as Lanikea at Waikiki, Imperial Plaza, Pearl Highlands Shopping Center, and the Sheraton Princeville renovation as well as others. His work in Chicago, Thailand and Panama had him working as project manager on various building projects up to 72 stories as well as condo conversions where building floors were added on top turn-of the-20th-century buildings.

Prior to joining Avalon in 2014, Dan was the Quality Assurance Manager for Minera Panama, S.A. in the Republic of Panama where he worked on the new Panama Canal Locks project as well as other major road, dam and port construction projects.

Dan holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
